Weekly Reflection No. 1

Some Questions That Are Still Going Around In My Head

1. What are banks in Singapore are really facing?
2. The severity of the market crash?
3. The number of people affected by the crisis?

3 Things That I Have Learnt

1. The property market crashed first and followed by others in a "Domino Effect"
2. Irresponsible Mortgage Brokers issued out mortgages without checking if loaner had a job and a stable income, because their pay is solely dependent on the amount of mortgages.
3. Banks like "Lehman Brothers" are going bankrupt and some others in big debt. Because they had lost a lot of money in shares and investments.

Ideas That I Agree With

1. We agreed on studying shares and stocks of local banks.
2. Estimate what would happen to the market in advance.
3. Make a presentation with our product at the end of the GRACE project.
